In my last article discussing Arnold, I wanted to discuss the difference between giving away information and selling expert advice. In the first example the value of the informant drops to zero once I know where the gym is located.

When I mention Arnold, you only think of one Arnold, right? You are not thinking of the Arnold the Car guy, or the Arnold advertising and public relations agency, correct?

An integral part of all websites is the Call to Action. Those little action-urging buttons and phrases have gone from the basic to the sophistically designed engagement buttons; from 'click here' and 'contact us' to 'watch this demo' and 'free trial signup.'

It's only been a few months since our last trade show appearance, but today we're back on the beat, attending the Idaho Affordable Housing Management Association (AHMA) conference at Boise's Grove Hotel. As with our previous appearance at January's ISSA/IETA conference, we're here to promote a new offering, and this time it's OneNet's Listings Property Management Interface (PMI).

Listings PMI is, in essence, a modified version of the Listings module from OneNet's existing HomeSell suite. However, unlike its real estate cousin, Listings PMI displays a list of available rentals as opposed to homes for sale. Using its user-friendly interface, property managers can easily add new properties to their sites, make updates as needed, and even incorporate several dynamic features like Google Maps and Google Street View into each property’s details page.

To be frank, we think property management has long been an underserved market when it comes to Web solutions, so a product like Listings PMI is long overdue. We're looking forward to promoting it at today's conference and will soon be posting additional information on Listings PMI on our services page as well.

Today we're proud to be at the Boise Centre on the Grove attending the Idaho Association of School Administrators' (IASA) joint conference for the Idaho State Superintendents' Association (ISSA) and the Idaho Education Technology Association (IETA). Whew! Alphabet soup!IASA Sign

We're here to unveil OneNet for Education (www.onenetedu.com), the newest hosted software solution from our friends at Neoreef. OneNetEdu, as we're calling it, takes the basic functionality of Neoreef's OneNet CMS and bundles it with several key applications to create a turnkey Web platform for schools and educators.

We think it's a pretty exciting offering, and we're looking forward to rubbing elbows with some potential users and hearing what they have to say. If things go well, hopefully you'll be seeing a OneNetEdu site in our portfolio soon.

As we rapidly approach our one-year anniversary, Ibis NW is proud to unveil a new and improved version of our site. In addition to a general overhaul of the site's design, you'll also find a good deal of expanded content, as well as new features like this blog.

All progress aside, though, we're not ones to rest on our laurels, and the coming weeks will see continued improvements to the site based on both analytics and user feedback. So until the release of Ibis NW 3.0, here's hoping you find 2.0 more complete and informative than the previous version. As always, we welcome your comments!
